Samsung Galaxy S26 charger: 25W, 45W or 60W?

Galaxy S26 takes 25W Super Fast Charging; S26+ and S26 FE take 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0; S26 Ultra takes 60W Super Fast Charging 3.0. Samsung puts a 3A USB-C cable in the box but no wall adapter, and Super Fast Charging needs a USB-C PD charger with PPS.

Match & price

S26 Ultra at full 60W: Samsung says Super Fast Charging 3.0 needs a USB PD 3.1 charger with PPS at 5–20V / 3A, like Samsung’s own 60W adapter (EP-T6010, sold without a cable). None of the chargers we price-check tonight has a maker spec that documents Super Fast Charging 3.0, so we don’t list a 60W card yet. The 45W cards above still charge the Ultra, just more slowly.

Full answer

Samsung’s US support comparison (ANS10010342) splits the S26 lineup into three tiers: S26 = Super Fast Charging up to 25W; S26+ and S26 FE = Super Fast Charging 2.0 up to 45W; S26 Ultra = Super Fast Charging 3.0 up to 60W. There’s no wall charger in the box: you get the phone, a USB Type-C 3A charging cable and a SIM tool (ANS10010341).

For any Super Fast Charging, Samsung AU says the charger has to support USB Power Delivery PPS (Programmable Power Supply). A high wattage on the label isn’t enough on its own. Buy a 45W PPS brick for S26+ or S26 FE, or if you want one brick for the whole family. A 30W PPS brick covers the 25W S26 with headroom. For the Ultra’s full 60W, Samsung’s adapter is PD 3.1 with PPS 5–20V / 3A. Skip old USB-A cubes, because they can’t Super Fast Charge.

What’s in the box (no charger)

What’s in the Galaxy S26 box

Samsung’s S26 accessories page (ANS10010341) lists the box contents as the phone, a USB Type-C 3A Charging Cable and a SIM ejector tool. The S26 Ultra also has its S Pen pre-installed. Samsung’s wall-charger article (ANS10001612) says the latest Galaxy devices exclude wall chargers but still include a USB-C cable. So you need to buy the wall charger, and any PPS USB-C PD charger above plugs straight into the in-box cable.

Super Fast Charging 2.0 / 3.0 and PPS

Super Fast Charging needs PPS

Wired: Samsung AU says Super Fast Charging may not work if the charger lacks USB-PD PPS, even when it has a high maximum output. Samsung’s own adapters publish their PPS ranges: 25W EP-T2510 up to 11V / 2.25A; 45W EP-T4511 at 5–20V / 2.25A (Super Fast Charging 2.0); 60W EP-T6010 at 5–20V / 3A (Super Fast Charging 3.0). Samsung UK says Super Fast Charging 2.0 requires USB PD 3.0 with Direct Charging. Samsung’s 60W adapter page adds that 3.0 requires USB PD 3.1 with Direct Charging, and it lists Galaxy S26 Ultra and later as the Super Fast Charging 3.0 models.

Speed examples (Samsung Global Newsroom, lab conditions, adapters sold separately): S26 up to about 55% in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and 3A cable; S26+ up to about 69% with a 45W adapter; S26 Ultra up to about 75% with a 60W adapter.

How to turn it on: Settings > Battery > Charging settings > Fast charging (Samsung 60W adapter FAQ). On S23 and later, one Fast charging toggle covers both Fast and Super Fast Charging (Samsung AU).

Wireless: S26 and S26 FE support Fast Wireless Charging up to 15W; S26+ supports Super Fast Wireless Charging up to 20W; S26 Ultra supports up to 25W. All of them support Wireless PowerShare (ANS10010342). We don’t list a wireless pad price here yet.

Which cable

The right cable

Every Galaxy S26 model charges over USB-C, and Samsung ships a 3A USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. Samsung AU rates the 45W adapter’s Super Fast Charging 2.0 with the in-box 3A cable for Galaxy S25 and later, and the 60W adapter’s Super Fast Charging 3.0 with a 3A cable. So the cable you already have is the right one, and you don’t need a 5A cable for an S26. Samsung recommends genuine Samsung 3A cables for best results. Get a longer spare USB-C cable only if you want one.
